Score: 0 - 0
Whitehawk were left frustrated at home against Truro City after some great defending from the visitors saw them go away with a point after a goalless draw.
In a game of few chances, the first opportunity fell to Scott Neilson ten minutes in, but his effort from twenty yards whistled over the top.
Danny Mills, who has been in prolific form of late, then saw his header go off target, before the Cornish visitors created their first chance after twenty minutes. Aaron Dawson’s free kick picked out Arran Pugh, but his header dropped wide of the post.
There was a scare for City keeper Thomas McHale after the half hour mark when Jake Robinson charged down his clearance, but the ball flew across goal and wide.
Good play from Robinson saw the ball work its way to the feet of Deering, but his rasping effort was saved low by McHale.
After an uneventful start to the second half, it came to life inside the last fifteen minutes.
City had a great chance to break the deadlock when Cody Cooke was given space inside the area, but from a tight angle his strike was kept out by Craig Ross, but his strike at the second attempt was cleared off the line by Juan Cruz Gotta.
The Hawks had chances late on, with Sam Deering spurring a great chance from twelve yards, before Dean Leacock’s firm header whistled just over the bar in stoppage time.
