Late Tuesday evening, Hawks Boss Pablo Asensio made three new additions to his squad for the new season, with a member of the previous season’s team re-signing for the 16/17 season.
The first signing was Striker Duncan Culley, who joins The Hawks after leaving newly promoted Hampton and Richmond Borough. Duncan first came to fame in 2013 with Shortwood United, where he played a vital role in their run in the FA Cup, scoring in every round, until they bravely bowed out after a defeat at Home against Port Vale in front of the BT Sport TV Cameras. Duncan then featured for Bromley, Farnborough and more recently Hampton, before joining The Hawks.
The second signing is that of Defender Marvin Hamilton, who rejoins The Hawks after leaving Eastbourne Borough. Marvin featured 8 times for The Hawks in 2015, before departing for a spell at VCD Athletic, before returning to Borough, where he already previously had two spells, making a total of 80 appearances for them.
The third signing is also an old face who is rejoining The Hawks. This time it is Midfielder Ahmed Abdulla who re-signs after leaving Ryman Premier League side Staines Town who he regularly featured for throughout the 15/16 season. Ahmed, who also featured 29 times for Barnet, was with The Hawks in the 14/15 season, where they reached the Conference South Play-Off Final, with Ahmed scoring an injury time winner away to Havant and Waterlooville in the final away game of the season to seal a Top 5 finish.
The final signing made on Tuesday was that of Defender Chris M’Boungou, who joined The Hawks late in the 15/16 season from Bishops Stortford, where he played a vital role in The Hawks climb up the table to the National League South Play-Offs.
