Maidstone Utd u18’s 0 v Whitehawk u18’s 2

The boys made the hour and a half journey up to The Gallagher Stadium and on arrival were suitably impressed with the modern facilities and excellent 4g pitch. Starting with a youthful side, playing 6 u16’s and only two u18’s we faced what looked like two complete squads of Maidstone Utd players. The boys started the game well and looked good in possession. When called upon they defended well when Maidstone had the ball. Jordan Hawkins made a point blank save to keep the scores level.

Chances at either ends continued to materialise and a cross come shot from Harry Shooman was parried into the net by the Maidstone keeper after 20mins to put us 1-0 up. On 27 minutes Harry again turned well in the box and fired low into the net making the score 2-0. Defensively the young players were very confident on the ball and always looked to play out from the back with man of the match going to Henry Watson.

A fantastic result and an even better performance by the boys.
