Whitehawk FC are pleased to announce the completion of the signings of experienced duo Midfielder Brian Howard and Forward Kevin Lisbie and also young Goalkeeper Tom Stewart.

Midfielder Brian Howard signs for The Hawks after most recently playing for Romsey Town and Alresford Town in the Wessex League. Brian started his career on the South Coast with Southampton, but after being released in 2003 he signed for Swindon Town, featuring 70 times for The Robins, including in the 2004 Second Division Playoffs against Brighton and Hove Albion. Brian then moved onto Barnsley, where he made 121 appearances, scoring 27 goals. Whilst at Barnsley, Brian famously scored a 93rd minute winner to defeat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield in the Yorkshire sides 2008 FA Cup run, where they also defeated Chelsea in the following round and ended up losing to Cardiff City in the Semi-Final. Following a spell with Sheffield United, who he featured for in the 2009 Championship Playoff Final at Wembley, Brian was signed by Reading for £500,000 and featured 59 times for The Royals. Brian has also played for Millwall, Portsmouth, Bristol City, CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria, Birmingham City, Oxford United and Eastleigh.

Forward Kevin Lisbie signs for The Hawks after most recently playing for Barnet in 2016. Kevin started his career with then-Premier League side Charlton Athletic and made 155 appearances for The Addicks, scoring 16 goals during an 11 year spell. His most memorable moment with Charlton came in 2003 when he scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Liverpool. Kevin then had spells with Colchester United, Ipswich Town and Millwall before signing for Leyton Orient in 2011, featuring 111 times and scoring 46 goals with the East London club. He also has International experience with 10 caps for Jamaica.

20-year old Goalkeeper Tom Stewart signs for The Hawks after most recently playing for Ryman South side Whyteleafe. He previously played for the Academy teams of Morecambe and Guiseley and has also this season been with National League North side Harrogate Town. Tom will relieve a Goalkeeping issue at the club owing to Lucas Covolan’s suspension and an injury to Ross Flitney.

We welcome Brian, Kevin and Tom to the club!
